About the project
We delivered the “Silesian Laboratories of the Future” project under the Youth Fund as activities strengthening young people’s competences and the capacity of a youth organization. We focused on practical training, teamwork, and building an environment in which young people can grow together with us.
In the first stage, we prioritized solid preparation: the project team, a communication plan, visual identity, and event logistics. This allowed subsequent activities to run smoothly and in an organized manner.
Process
We divided the work into four phases. First, we planned the entire project: we appointed a team with a coordinator, divided responsibilities, set the schedule and training locations, and prepared technical and promotional support.
In the second phase, we moved on to delivering the trainings. We organized activities for volunteers and association members, as well as for secondary school pupils and students up to the age of 26. Each meeting was closed with a coordinator’s report, photo documentation, and ongoing adjustments that improved subsequent activities.
Next, we closed the implementation stage by compiling documentation and materials for evaluation. In the final phase, we analyzed the indicators, drew conclusions, and prepared improvements for the next part of the project.

Impact
What changed thanks to the project
The strongest result was a real increase in participants’ competences: based on surveys before and after the trainings, we recorded an average knowledge increase of 89% (with a planned minimum of 25%). We trained 25 pupils and students and 10 volunteers and association members.
We engaged 5 volunteers in delivering the task, organized 1 off-site training for the volunteer team, and finalized 1 partnership supporting the project substantively and organizationally.
One indicator was not fully achieved in 2022: the reach of promotional posts on Facebook was 969 against a target of 2500. We treated this as a lesson for the next stages and refined our approach to promotion and the communication schedule.
